Description/Qualifications

Salem Hospital, a not-for-profit Level II Trauma facility, is one of Oregon's largest acute-care hospitals, is home to the busiest ER on the West Coast, and is licensed for 494 acute-care beds.

We are seeking a Cardiac Electrophysiologist to see patients in a full-time capacity. We offer a state of the art, fully functional Cath Lab and hybrid OR access. Our Echo and Vascular Lab are ICAL and ICAVL accredited. Our continuum of care includes onsite Cardiac Navigation and Rehabilitation Services.

 

Our patients receive comprehensive medical services through our robust Medical Group of more than 250 providers and 16 specialties, focused on enhancing the patient experience and providing higher levels of care coordination. Salem is uniquely positioned geographically to serve a broad catchment area including metropolitan and rural communities and boasts active lifestyle opportunities unique to the Pacific Northwest.

You may be a qualified candidate if you:

  • Hold a current unrestricted M.D. Oregon medical license.
  • Hold a current unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
  • Are Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the ABIM or the AOA, or are eligible, actively participating in the certification process, and able to achieve Board Certification or Special Qualifications within 5 years of initial appointment to the Medical Staff.
  • Have achieved Added Qualifications in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology granted by the ABIM or AOA, or have completed an ACGME approved fellowship training in electrophysiology.
  • Have experience and current competency in performing core cardiology procedures within the previous 2 years.
