    Description/Qualifications

Salem Hospital, a not-for-profit hospital, is one of Oregon's largest acute-care hospitals, is home to the busiest ER on the West Coast, and is licensed for 494 acute-care beds.

     

    We are seeking an Occupational Medicine Physician to see patients in a full-time capacity treating Community and Salem Health injured workers, and administering community based pre-hire employment and federally regulated exams.  Working with the hospital, our Occupational Medicine provider has great access to resources, including an on-campus Work Injury Management Physical Therapy Program. This exciting opportunity allows the right provider an excellent foundation to work with the Medical Director to create more access to further develop the program.

    The Position:

    • Monday – Friday 40 hours/week; No holidays and no call
    • 4 designated Occupational Med exam rooms; 19-22 patients per day

     

    You may be a qualified candidate if you:

    • Hold a degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
    • Have completed a residency training program in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and/or Emergency Medicine, AND have at least five (5) years Occupational Medicine experience; OR, have completed an Occupational Medicine residency training program.
    • Hold current Board Certification in the applicable American Board of Medical Specialties or the American Osteopathic Board, or are Board eligible, and actively participating in the Board Certification process, and able to achieve Board Certification within five (5) years of hire.
    • Hold current, full and unrestricted licensure to practice medicine in the State of Oregon.
    • Hold DOT certification, or are able to obtain within 6-months of hire.
