Your Team. Your Choice. Choose Salem Health.

Salem Health does more than provide high quality patient care. It is an organization that commits itself to empowering teams to create, innovate, and dream. We are looking for individuals who can challenge the status quo, raise the bar, and embrace change.

At Salem Health, we want trailblazers, self-starters, and creative thinkers to drive improvement in the health care arena where “patient-centered” is more than just words.

Salem Health is Salem's largest private employer with more than 4,900 employees and an active medical staff of 770 providers.  Salem Hospital, a not-for-profit hospital, is one of Oregon's largest acute-care hospitals, is home to the busiest ER on the West Coast, and is licensed for 494 acute-care beds.

We are seeking experienced Neonatologists to join our established hospital-based Neonatology team in a shift capacity.  The NICU utilizes a Family Integrated Care (FIC) model where parents are educated and encouraged to participate in the care of their baby, with support from the interdisciplinary care team. As active Vermont Oxford Network participants, we are dedicated to quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and research, as these elements are crucial to our culture of quality and safety.  The Neonatology team is a critical part of our culture overseeing the safety of hospitalized newborns with 3400 births per year.  Our Level III NICU is staffed with 24/7 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and Neonatologists.

Salem Health Women & Children’s Services Division includes:

    • 10 bed Pediatric Unit which provides inpatient and outpatient services
    • 26 bed Mother Baby Unit
    • 19 bed Labor & Delivery Unit (12 labor and 7 antepartum beds) with 2 operating rooms
    • 27 bed level IIIA Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

    Program Awards:

    • Achieved five year Baby-Friendly Hospital Designation
    • Awarded “best place in the Mid-Valley to have a baby” for six years running

    Position Highlights:

    • Growing medical group that has doubled in size in two years
    • Designated as a Top Workplace in Oregon
    • NEW (October 2019): Dragon Medical One, Epic-integrated dictation software

You may be an ideal candidate if you:

    • Have successfully completed an accredited residency program in Neonatology and hold board certification, or are board eligible

As a leader in the local industry, Salem Health offers a generous total rewards package, an empowering culture, and a commitment to the development and growth of our in-house talent. Our work is grounded in respect for people and continuous improvement and we invite you to partner with us to further our mission.
